Thursday 1st December is ‘The Wymondham Lions Christmas Fayre’ evening. Ward-Robes will be open until 8pm offering Customers a complimentary mince pie accompanied by a mulled wine, courtesey of locally based Reno Wines.
Coffee and Hot Chocolate will be on sale outside Ward-Robes, freshly ground by Team-Barista.
The big attraction of the evening in Fairland Street will be the Real Live Reindeer which will be on display outside Ward-Robes between 6 to 8pm – a must for children and adults alike. The Reindeers have been kindly sponsored by the following local businesses – Ward-Robes, Berry and Warren Accountants, Priory Insurance Brokers, R J Bartram Funeral Service, Reno Wines,Team Barista and Yum Yums.
All your Christmas Gifts and treats will be for sale in Ward-Robes – Ladies Clothes, scarves, hats, handbags, purses, jewellery, umbrella’s, socks and tights as well as a small selection of baby clothes.
The evening will consist of The Procession led by the Pipe Band leaving Town Green at 6pm with Santa in his Sleigh and The Horse drawn Carriage carrying The Lions Chairman and The Mayor of Wymondham. This will be followed by the switching on of the Christmas Lights at The Market Cross and Carol Singing along with the Wymondham Area School’s Brass Band. Santa’s Grotto and The Barber Shop Quartet will be in Whartons Court, Live Reindeer outside Ward-Robes in Fairland Street and various stalls will be dotted around the Town Centre.
Children will be entertained by Dave Doughnut and fair ground rides as well as face painting.
There will be a BBQ on offer as well.
